WELCOME TO THE SYDNEY CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL 2008
The Sydney Chamber Music Festival showcases the exceptional talent of some of Australia's leading artists in chamber music and composition. Our festival focuses on the human voice in a chamber music setting.
A Gala concert at the Manly Town Hall Chambers will mark the Festival's launch with a program featuring the renowned soprano Jane Edwards in the music of Mozart, Brahms and Beethoven and Ravel. Also planned is the world premiere performance of a new song cycle by eminent Australian composer Andrew Ford. A workshop for selected ensembles will be held in conjunction with the festival at The Manly Art Gallery and Museum.
This year, we aim to plant the seed of what will become one of our country's most cherished chamber music festivals and the only one of its kind - for the voice.
We are a not-for-profit organization and invite you to become a part of the Sydney Chamber Music Festival. Further details will be announced as the planning of this event progresses.
